MANASSAS, VIRGINIA USA - The ISSA World Championships are being held at Manassas for the severteenth consecutive year in 2011. The tournament is planned for August 12-14 and is a favorite for many senior teams. Many participants have played in the previous 16 events and enjoy the annual trek to the Senior Softball Capital of the World. Early registrations point to an excellent turn out again this year, teams from 12 states and one from South America have entered.
In recent years the 35+ and 40+ Masters teams have also found Manassas in August. Both Masters and Senior teams will soon descend on Northern Virginia to vie for the gold medals and World Championship rings. Also two berths in each division will be awarded to the qualifying teams to play in the ISSA/ISF World Tournament of Champions on January 26-29, 2012 at venues in the Tampa, Florida Region..
Teams planning on entering this tournament should complete the online entry form now and finalize their entry by forwarding their entry fee to the ISSA office by the entry deadline. Teams playing this year should make sure that all players have logged on to subscribe to the ISSA e-newsletter to stay informed about the tournament details. Tournament hotels are listed with the tournament information, click on ADDRESSES TO VENUES. The Managers Meeting will be held at the Host Hotel on Thursday night, August 11 at 7:00pm. All teams should be represented to pick up their balls and get any last minute tournament details.
