ISF XXV CONGRESS THIS WEEK
A major off-the-field event for the sport of softball will take place this week. RB Thomas, Jr., ISF Director of Senior Softball, will be one of the delegates from around the world who will convene in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, for the ISF’s XXV Congress. The meetings are held every other year and will be taking place in the United States for the first time in ten years (Florida, 2001). At present, 73 countries are expected to be represented for the October 27-30 proceedings.

The first ISF senior competition was held at Manassas, Virginia USA in 2002. The ISF Senior World Cup has been held annually since and is now held at venues in the Roanoke Valley in southwestern Virginia. The 11th ISF Senior World Cup will take place on June 22-24, 2012.

The ISF has joined forces with the ISSA to create another exciting event for the Masters and Senior Divisions of slowpitch softball. On January 27-29, 2012 at Plant City, FL and other venues in the Tampa Region, teams from around the world will gather for the ISSA/ISF World Tournament of Champions. Over 120 teams have qualified for the event and a large turnout is expected to participate in this first year event. Masters and Senior teams interested in entering the tournament should contact RB Thomas, Jr. (571-436-9704 or This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
